UK aid to Gaza

As a supporter of the UK's overseas development programme, I am pleased to see the announcement of £1.25 million in new aid to Gaza (http://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/93947/uk-pledges-%C2%A3125m-new-aid-gaza). If the UK is to spend such money in so many places across the globe, than why not in Gaza? It is possible to be both pro-Israeli (http://matthewfharris.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/supporting-israels-gaza-war.html)and a supporter of UK Government aid to Gaza.
